“To put the world right in order,
we must first put the nation in order;
to put the nation in order,
we must first put the family in order;
to put the family in order,
we must first cultivate our personal life;
we must first set our hearts right.”

NORTHERN BRANCH PHOTO ALBUM
What
more do we know about Juan Domingo Pomar, the Ruiloban who came to Negros?
- He had an older brother, Paulino Ruperto Pomar y Gonzalez (b 27 March 1855, d 31 July 1912), who became town secretary of Ruiloba
- Paulino was married to Julia Evarista Pérez de la Riva and they had 4 children: Julio (b 1885?), Paulino (b 1888?), Casimiro (b 15 April 1890, d 6 July 1970), and Maria Ángeles del Pomar y Pérez de la Riva (b 1897?)
- Casimiro Pomar y Perez de la Riva, therefore was a nephew of Juan Domingo Pomar y Gonzalez, and also worked at Tabacalera.
- Casimiro had a family in Spain

“To maintain a joyful family requires much
from both the parents and the children.
Each member of the family has to become,
in a special way, the servant of others.”
